I decided to train as a counsellor after returning from some time living in Australia.  I have always wanted to do something that I felt helped others and counselling allows me to do that as well as giving me a great deal of satisfaction.  I have been privileged to work with many great people so far in my career.  I achieved my diploma in psychodynamic counselling in 2002.

I was awarded my Masters in Counselling in 2007 from the University of Greenwich and the following year became an accredited member of British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy, as well as entering onto the UK register of counsellors and Psychotherapists.

I have a certificate in family and couples therapy and I did a post grad certificate in CBT in 2010.

I have worked in a number of settings including substance misuse, young people, EAP's, GP Surgeries (NHS) and more.

In 2010 I decided to take the next step in my counselling career and did my Diploma in Supervision.  Having worked as a Service Manager and Placement Manager for some time I felt this was the next logical step.  I received my diploma in supervision in 2011.

I have over a decade of experience working with people affected by their own or someone else's substance mis-use and I have also worked in private practice for some time.  I am experienced in working with young people and have a specialism in young people who self harm.

I have also done work for BUPA and ATOS Healthcare and I am a BUPA price assured counsellor.

I work from my private practice in Otford.  For more details please go to the contact details page.
